Executed Under Color of Law

#Veteran Michael Gibson:

Renee Good Was Executed Under the Color of Law

I found this PERF report on exactly what CBP had been doing over the past decade killing suspects by putting themselves in front of cars: PDF Report Link Below

In Feb 2013, U.S. Customs and Border Protection was forced to commission a “use-of-force” review because Border Patrol agents were killing people. Not hypothetically. Not occasionally.

Actually.

Unarmed people. People in vehicles. People on the Mexican side of the border. People throwing rocks. People running away.

The Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) report did not dance around it. It documented agents stepping into the path of moving vehicles and then claiming fear for their lives as justification to shoot. The report explicitly warned against creating their own jeopardy and then using that manufactured danger to justify deadly force. The report exist because this behavior had become a pattern, not an anomaly.

That was 13 years ago.

Now, here we are.

January 7, 2026. Minneapolis. Renee Good is dead.

What do we see on video?

We see an ICE agent holding a cell phone.

We see him switch hands.

We see him draw his weapon.

We see him move into the path of her vehicle.

We see him fire.

That is not panic.

That is not reflex.

That is not confusion.

That is a well rehearsed, executed and documented sequence.

Anyone who has ever been trained in rules of engagement knows exactly what that means. Deadly force is only justified when there is an imminent, unavoidable threat. You do not step into danger and then pretend you had no choice.

When Ross switched hands before he got in front of the automobile meant he was prepared to shoot before there was a conceivable threat.

You do not create the threat and then kill because of it. That is not self-defense. That is manufactured justification.

I am disgusted watching people pretend otherwise.

The 2013 report warned against this exact behavior in the CBP. It said agents were doing this. It said it was dangerous. It said it was unacceptable. It said it needed to stop.

Yet, here we are.

Same tactic.

Same positioning.

Same sequence.

Another woman dead.

Do not insult the public by calling this “split-second.”

Do not insult trained professionals by calling this “instinct.”

Do not insult Renee Good’s life by calling this “unavoidable.”

It was avoidable.

It was preventable.

It was chosen.

This did not happen in a vacuum. It happened inside a federal enforcement culture that has been warned, audited, criticized, and exposed for this exact conduct for over a decade.

Instead of eradicating it, the system keeps defending it.

It's not an error.

It's institutional rot.

So I am asking the question that everyone is afraid to ask:

Was Renee Good executed under the color of law?

Because when an agent steps into a threat, creates the danger, and then pulls the trigger, that is not protection. That is premeditated.

We have seen it before; many times.
