On January 30, 2026, in Chandler, Arizona, an armed, masked man at a high school ICE protest turned out to be a Phoenix police sergeant. According to the report, he told other Officers his plan was to let Students assault him so they could be arrested.
To be clear, the policer officer's plan was to provoke kids to assault them so he could arrest them. WHAT. THE. FUCK.
I've heard of people doing shit for job security but damn. This takes that concept to a dark place. Police causing crime to police it. How about we find better cops who will arrest shithead ones like this guy?
It's in law enforcement's interests to shun officers who don't meet the high standards of the profession. This is the only way to truly uphold the public trust.
If there's any federal database we need, it's a universal police records system. That could help restore trust too. Criminal behaviors by cops like this one certainly doesn't.
