No Custom, No Courtesy, No Care

Every person decides a particular habit in their lives... do I pick up trash off the sidewalk or walk by it?

Right?

We've all had that moment where we decide "who am I gonna be?" when I see this condition. This decision becomes habitual I think, for most folks.

Some people may also think of the "shopping cart" test as a similar type of litmus for a person's care for their world and sense of duty or ethics...

...the idea that a person should take the cart to the corral or put the trash in the bin is pretty universally understood as the "right" thing to do.

For Soldiers and service folks... Government officials... elected officials... there's a similar expectation around how we care for an honor our flag:

For it to fly at half staff is a somber occasion for sure!

But letting it touch the ground is a sin that must immediately be resolved.

Someone needs to clear this piece of orange trash off the lawn...

... and someone else needs to burn that dirty flag and raise an untarnished one to represent in its place.

No slack.
