Recognize Black Excellence

See people as they are. We are all the same, but we are all different too. We must celebrate folks for who they are. We must celebrate our differences and acknowledge folks accomplishments alongside recognizing them for who they are.
The whole point is to be seen. Don't try to make color invisible. Recognize black excellence. Recognize queer excellence. Recognize woman excellence.
Even when - one day - the playing fields are all evened out we should always celebrate folks for all the ways that they stand out. THAT's the American ideal: We embrace, celebrate, and leverage diversity as nation; we don't simply "tolerate" it.
Today we celebrate on some level as acknowledgement of the "underdog" winning the uphill battle; one day, when the hills are flat and everyone's battles are the same we should still celebrate accomplishments of all flavors of people for what they achieve exactly as they are.
No slack.
