I don't know much about the context of this clip except that for years the GOP in texas has tried to force a school vouchers program that the public has overwhelmingly rejected, repeatedly. Nonetheless they keep pushing it...
... and they keep trying to find "inventive" ways to push the vouchers through, even though people don't want them.
And I can listen to this clip and get the gist of this here.
How much time of the government has been wasted - even just here in this specific hearing - on lies and agenda items that the public doesn't want?
Politicians that knowingly push agendas based on lies or repeatedly push for things against what people want should be charged with fraud waste and abuse. They time and resources they waste are a theft of our tax dollars. Every second of wasteful bullshit is theft. It's more money spent on the politicians rather than on actual solutions.
