Why Can't We Fire Congress?

Why Can't we fire congress? Seriously. What do we do when they won't rule out congressional stock trading? Or they won't share reports of their wrongdoing? Or won't impeach a criminal because he is their party? When they - our elected officials - won't fire each other or police themselves: there is no mechanism for the people. Did you know that?

The only mechanism we currently have is "wait til next election" and that's not good enough. Our power is a lie. We need to take it back.
